Vancouverís iconic heritage Burrard Street Bridge was designed and opened in the summer of 1932 as the ceremonial entrance to False Creek and Downtown Vancouver. Over its 75-year life span this art deco bridge has evoked a wide range of artistic expression, reflections and memories. Plans are being developed to increase the capacity of the bridge by creating new sidewalks on cantilevered outrigger structures.

On the occasion of the 75th Anniversary, artists and photographers are invited to display a work of art or create a new work of art that is evocative of the Burrard Street Bridge for exhibition at Heritage Vancouver's Annual General Meeting at the Vancouver Museum on October 18th 2007.

You can let us know you are coming or contributing a work of art to the exhibition by email at rsvp@vancouvercommunityforums.com.

You can let others know about this opportunity to exhibit by forwarding this invitation.
